Life of Worship

Wednesdays and Fridays, September 27–October 20, 10am–12pm
CEC Blue Ridge Building
Prerequisite: None

A biblical study of worship with practical applications to personal devotion and corporate expression.  Students will be exposed to the foundational theology, principles, institutions, and practice of worship in the Old and New Testaments. This course assists students in developing a lifestyle of worship.

Worship & Prayer Training Class

Thursdays, September 28–November 16, 4–5:30pm
CEC Blue Ridge Building

A course on the harp and bowl model of prayer and worship, which is named after and based upon the description of God’s throne in heaven, as described in Revelation 5:8. Students will be exposed to teachings on intercession, worship, musicianship, and leadership. This course’s practical component will allow students to both practice and lead this model of prayer and worship, thus continuing to develop as skilled musicians, antiphonal singers, and intercessors.

Life of Prayer

Prerequisite: None

A biblical study of prayer with practical applications to personal discipline and corporate expression.  Students will be exposed to the foundational theology of prayer principles and strategies, the implementation of prayer in personal and corporate settings, and the global impact of intercession.  This course assists students in developing a lifestyle of prayer.

Choir

Saturdays, September 30–December 9, 1:30–2:30pm
(no class November 25th due to Thanksgiving)

CEC Blue Ridge Building

A course covering the basics of singing, including breathing, diction, posture, vocal production, performance, ear training, melody, rhythm, unison, and part singing.

Students will learn to minister to others through music, identify with this traditional form of worship while taking an active leadership role in the church service, grow in Christian character as part of a team with a common goal, gain understanding of spiritual truths, and grow in the knowledge of God through the singing of Scripture.
