Derek Loux’s last release, Paper Religion, displays honest lyrics communicating a sense of longing for the presence of God and abandonment to Him.
Fragrant Burning is the culmination of three years of singing scriptures in the House of Prayer.
Derek Loux was a worship leader and part of the senior leadership team of IHOPKC. He was both the Director of Forerunner Music Academy and an instructor at the Forerunner School of Ministry. Derek was skilled in equipping worship teams, training prophetic singers and musicians, and helping to lay a theological foundation for worship and prayer ministry. God’s relentless grace carried Derek and his wife, Renee, through many difficult times, resulting in forming a message of hope for those who suffer.
Derek also gave leadership to IHOPKC’s newly formed Orphan Justice Center. He and his wife carried a deep conviction regarding the spirit of adoption and ministry to the poor, as articulated in Isaiah 58. They had ten children, eight of which were adopted orphans. In December of 2009 Derek went home to be with the Lord, but his vision of justice and compassion for orphans continues to grow at IHOPKC and elsewhere.
