In a time of uncertainty and change, when distraction, fear, and shame become constant temptations, God is calling forth women of unwavering faith—women who stand steady, anchored in Christ, who operate in the power of the Holy Spirit and face the future confident in the love of the Father.
We welcome you to join with us this coming spring in Kansas City, as we join with women of like heart from around the country and the nations, to seek the face of God together, encounter the Holy Spirit, and go out empowered and encouraged.
Rolland and Heidi Baker founded Iris Ministry, now Iris Global, in 1980. In 1995 they were called to Mozambique, the poorest country in the world at the time, and began pouring out their lives among abandoned street children. The Holy Spirit moved miraculously in many ways, and a revival movement spread among pastors, churches, and then all throughout Mozambique’s ten provinces. Heidi, who is now “Mama Aida” to thousands of children, oversees a broad holistic ministry that includes Bible schools, medical clinics, church-based orphan care, well drilling, primary schools, evangelistic industries, cottage farms, widows’ programs, and healing outreaches in remote villages that include a network of hundreds of churches. She earned her BA and MA from Southern California College (now Vanguard University) and her PhD from King’s College London. She is calling for a passionate tribe of believers who will pour out their lives for love’s sake and bring children of all ages home to the Father’s embrace.
Lisa Bevere believes in women and empowers them by weaving the practical with the profound truth of God’s Word in award-winning curriculums and best-selling books (Without Rival, Lioness Arising, Fight Like a Girl, Nurture, Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry, and more). As an advocate for change, Lisa’s heart breaks over social injustice, and she rallies others to be an answer to desperate problems near and far. She and her husband, John Bevere, co-founded Messenger International, an organization established to teach, reach, and rescue. Lisa is the mother of four sons and grandmother of four.
Diane started Glad Heart Realty in June of 2001. As a pastors’ wife of 30+ years, her joy has always been in helping people connect to what’s important to them. Helping people find the right neighborhood and home was just a natural outflow of her passion.
Diane has been married to Mike, her best friend for 37 years. “Through the years our love, friendship and partnership has grown as well as our mutual respect for one another. We like each other a lot and have fun together.” Mike is the founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC). The couple has two married sons, two beautiful daughter-in-laws, and four stunning grandchildren who have “stolen Diane’s heart.”
Nayomi Thomas (MS, Organizational Development, Avila University) was raised across three continents, including a small island in the Netherlands Antilles, and now has a broad view of life, which she shares with her eighteen-year-old daughter Mahan, four-year-old-son, Justice, two-year-old daughter Addison, and husband, Jaye. Together, the Thomas family resides in Kansas City, Missouri, and are part of the International House of Prayer.
Laura Hackett Park discovered meeting the Lord in music from the age of two, and went on to study music theory in college. She serves as a worship leader at the International House of Prayer. Laura is married to Jonas; the couple have one daughter, Mae.
