Isaiah is cited in the New Testament more than any other Old Testament prophet. Along with Psalms and Deuteronomy, Isaiah is one of the three Old Testament books most quoted in the New Testament. Unparalleled in its view of the Messiah, the salvation of Israel, the destiny of the nations, and the age to come, this book is a must for all serious students of the gospel in general, and of prophecy in particular. Students examine the life and message of Isaiah and comprehensively study the book’s overall theme of God’s leadership through the Branch, Israel’s Messiah, who, on the Day of the Lord, will save Israel and usher in a new age—the redemption of the world. This course covers Isaiah 1-53.
