Interviews with One Thing Alumni Caitlin von Berky, Australia OTI Alumna, Summer 2013 In my internship, I was privileged to journey closely with other girls in my core group. We fasted, prayed, and lived in community; it was like being put into a furnace. God could accomplish more when we sought the Lord together in unity. I currently work as an intercessory missionary at Sydney HOP. My primary job is to lead worship and equip other younger musicians to do so. We are seeing breakthrough when we gather together. The most powerful facet of the internship was seeing staff live out and embody the message they shared. They valued unity, and a Sermon on the Mount lifestyle, which is so important for a community that gathers to pray. My internship prepared me for what I’m doing here. David Dayno, Wisconsin OTI Alumnus, Summer 2013 I went back home and took with me the power of prayer and fasting. I started a group with a few friends, and we pray and fast every week for our church and our city. We started with seven people and doubled within three months and have seen over 25 people get born again. Tim Peus, England OTI Alumnus, Winter 2014 I am currently at law school studying full time. Besides that, I am privileged to lead a small group of 15 boys on a weekly basis, where I teach and we pray together. I have to say it is incredibly dry, but I see it as a responsibility to share the passion and excitement that God has given me and provoke others around me. I have been asked to lead several prayer meetings and worship. This has been a fantastic opportunity to share some thoughts and challenge fellow believers on the subject of prayer. I also meet up with one or two friends, and we spend time in the presence of the lord, praying and worshiping. I regularly connect with the Global Prayer Room online.
