The heart of our work at the International House of Prayer is our non-stop prayer room. It's open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and anyone can come in. We based the prayer room on King David's idea of creating a place where people pray to and worship God (1 Chronicles 9:33; 22–24). Here we constantly pray and worship based out of Scripture. We split each day into twelve, two-hour sessions, each led by a different worship team.

Our prayer style is inspired by what we see in Revelation 5, which talks about harps and bowls—symbols for worship and prayer. We use two main ways to combine prayer with worship. First, we have intercession sets where the worship team and prayer leaders sing and pray together from a Scripture focus about a specific topic. Second, we have worship with the Word sets where we sing through a passage of the Bible to create spontaneous songs to the Lord from Scripture. Sometimes, you'll also find hour-long devotional sessions led by one person or a small group.

We invite you to join people from all over the world as we pray and worship together. We're asking God to carry out His plans on earth and praising His greatness until Jesus comes back.

Unceasing Prayer: A Global Movement Rooted in GOD's faithfulness

Since 1999, we have gathered in Kansas City at the International House of Prayer, not in strength or grandeur, but in humble, weak prayer meetings. It is in our simple weak yes that God's power is made perfect. For twenty-five years, day and night, we’ve sought His presence, believing that our whispered prayers—fragile though they may seem—carry the weight of eternity. Through weakness, God has chosen to stir the hearts of His people and spark a global prayer movement, reminding us that it’s not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit alone.
