5 Ways Onething 2016 Can Help You Grow in Love for Jesus

It only happens once a year, but Onething’s impact on your life can be felt for years to come!

Twenty thousand young adults, internationally-known speakers and worship leaders, all gathered in Kansas City for four days of praise to Jesus and encounters with His presence—sounds good, right?

At Onething (Dec. 28–31), we’re inviting you to experience the power of intimacy with Jesus, the One who breaks chains, stirs hearts, and strengthens believers to be His voice in this generation.

As we encounter the Man who is love, He will change us in powerful ways (1 John 4:8).

1. Presence-based Worship

We all long to experience God as more than an idea. The Lord is personal and promises to meet us as we worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Come worship Jesus in powerful times of unified praise with thousands of believers, led by Matt Maher, Audrey Assad, Jonathan David and Melissa Helser, and IHOPKC worship teams. One touch of His presence in worship and you will be forever changed!

2. Intimacy and Trust

The Lord is good—He’s merciful, kind, and worthy of all our affection and trust. God commands us to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength because that is how He loves us (Luke 10:27; John 17:23). Gain a greater revelation of God—His beauty and His worth—in the environment of encounter. Let His powerful love touch your heart and break down the walls that we hide behind.

3. Knowledge of the Word

Hear Bible teaching from anointed speakers like Mike Bickle, Allen Hood, Bill Johnson, Todd White, and others. The messages and teaching are bathed in prayer and are known for helping people gain fresh revelation of the Word and wisdom on how to apply it in season. Most messages are followed by a time of response in which you can receive prayer from our ministry team. We also also offer healing and prophecy rooms during the conference.

4. Corporate Prayer

At its core, prayer is conversation with God. We talk to Him because of His love, and prayer grows our relationship. Our Global Prayer Room, which has been going day and night since 1999, moves to the site of the conference during Onething, giving you the chance to pray with other believers between 6 a.m. and midnight. Taste God’s goodness in an enjoyable flow of worship and prayer that has been sustained for 17 years.

5. Strengthening Your Voice

God’s presence stirs, evokes, and strengthens our voice. The Lord “calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (Romans 4:17). He calls messengers and promises to fill them with His words (see Jeremiah 1:4–10; Isaiah 6:1–8; Exodus 4:10–12). Jesus even tells us not to worry about what we will say when challenged by authorities, because He will give us the words (Luke 12:11–12). In His presence, we receive fresh boldness and confidence to speak His word in our spheres of influence. God wants to use your voice to reach your workplace, school, family—your sphere, no matter how big or small.
