What is the
Prayer Room?

The Prayer Room is the center of IHOPKC. It is a room set apart for worship and prayer before Jesus, where hour after hour, people gather to sing, pray, behold His beauty, and agree with His heart.

Some serve here full-time as Intercessory Missionaries. Others come before work or after school, volunteer on weekends, or join the livestream from thousands of miles away.

Come for a few minutes or stay for hours. Whatever your occupation, life stage, or season, there is a place for you to seek God with us.

The room is open. The livestream is always on. You’re invited.

We believe God uses prayer, not as a substitute for action, but as its fuel to bring renewal to the Church and mercy to the nations.

Prayer That Partners With God’s Purposes

Over the years, IHOPKC has given itself to several key intercessory burdens we believe the Lord has called us to carry in prayer: God’s redemptive purposes for Israel and the nations, laborers for the harvest and the fulfillment of the Great Commission, the strengthening of the Church in Kansas City and across the earth, revival in the next generation, and a mature Bride made ready for the return of Jesus.

From Kansas City to the nations, our desire is that every hour of prayer would agree with God’s heart and serve His purposes in the earth.

Messages That Sustain Prayer

IHOPKC equips the praying Church with biblical messages that strengthen love for Jesus and sustain faithful intercession. We teach, sing, pray, and proclaim the beauty of Jesus, intimacy with God, identity in Christ, kingdom faithfulness, spiritual maturity, God’s purposes for Israel and the nations, and the glorious return of the Lord.

These messages are central to our mission and shape our worship, discipleship, intercession, and partnership with the global Church as we seek to love Jesus wholeheartedly, stand faithful in our generation, and help others do the same.

IHOPKC is built around one call: unceasing prayer with worship until Jesus returns. We are a Missions Base and community of intercessors who have given themselves to that vision, existing to partner in the Great Commission by advancing 24/7 prayer and proclaiming the beauty of Jesus and His glorious return.

This calling shapes everything we do. From the Prayer Room, we seek to strengthen love for Jesus, sustain faithful intercession, equip the praying Church, and prepare believers to stand faithful in their generation until He returns.
